We are fascinated by the brilliant light that comes through the poppies. The flowers are simple. They bloom with just the right temperature and moisture. The petals have interesting luminous curves. I think the flowers have an intrinsic property that is different than the treatment by O'Keefe or Ed Mel. This is what we were aiming for.(© copyright line is not in the painting)
